Specialist providers of disinfection services since 2014
Sanondaf UK is a nationwide service provider with 25 regional teams providing infection prevention and control support across England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands.
Our clients range from the NHS, research laboratories and pharmaceutical manufacturers to hotels, event and hospitality venues, sports stadiums, office premises, nursing homes, schools, transport providers and international blue-chip corporations.
Sanondaf fogging and electrostatic disinfection treatments achieve a 4 to 6 log rate (99.99% to 99.9999%) for the destruction of over 280 harmful viruses (including Coronavirus), bacteria, fungi, mould, yeast and other microorganisms.
Supporting a safer re-launch of the industry as lock down restrictions ease, we are pleased to offer a specialist division providing disinfection and decontamination services to the live events sector. Our event industry specialist, Abby Elliott, was interviewed by Mash Media’s Conference News Editor, Martin Fullard, in February of this year.
Drawing upon our 7 years’ experience of disinfecting and decontaminating hospitals, passenger ferries, planes, transfer vehicles, sports stadiums, and hotel premises, where staff are present 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, we are comfortable working within tight timescales and complex logistical schedules to ensure no disruption to any event.
We know that a ‘one size’ approach does not suit or fit all requirements. Partnering with our clients, we work in a consultative manner. We tailor our approach for each job / venue to ensure maximum efficacy is achieved and that treatments are applied safely, in a manner and time suited to the needs of our clients and complying with all regulations and guidelines from both the Health and Safety Executive and World Health Organisation.

The essential ‘need to know’ when considering any disinfection and decontamination service provider, is:
What chemical is being used and has the application method been clinically tested to prove the efficacy claims?
Sanondaf uses a patented broad spectrum, stabilised hydrogen peroxide solution, manufactured to ISO9001/13485 standards and authorised for use as a biocide by the ECHA (European Chemicals Agency). Dispersed as a dry vapour (HPV), Sanondaf treatments hold the following EN certifications: BS EN 14476 – virucidal efficacy; BS EN 1276 – bactericidal efficacy; BS EN 1650 – Fungicidal / yeasticidal efficacy; BS EN 13704 – Sporicidal efficacy; and BS EN 13448 – Mycobactericidal efficacy.
However, it is important to be transparent – a BS EN certification only confirms that a chemical can be classed as a surface disinfection, NOT that the treatment method used to administer is has been tested and verified.
Which is why we are proud to confirm that Sanondaf UK’s HPV treatment methods have been clinically tested and verified, achieving a 4 to 6 log rate (99.99% to 99.9999%) for the destruction of over 280 harmful viruses, bacteria, bacterial endospores, fungi, mould, yeast and other microorganisms, including:
- Influenza A (H1N1 & H5N1) – an enveloped virus: 5 log (99.999%)
- Coronavirus – an enveloped virus: 4 log (99.99%)
- Clostridium difficile (inc spores) – a gram-positive bacteria: 6 log (99.9999%)
- MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus) – a gram-positive bacteria: 4 log (99.99%)
- Norovirus – a non-enveloped virus: 4 log (99.99%)
- Mycobacterium tuberculosis – a gram-positive bacteria: 4 log (99.99%)
- Legionella – a gram-negative bacteria: 5 log (99.999%)
- Escherichia coli -a gram-negative bacteria: 5 log (99.999%)
Importantly, rooms and areas can be treated rapidly and back in use as little as 15 minutes.
Our treatments are non-corrosive, contain no toxic ingredients and our application methods ensure they are not harmful to people, animals or the environment. Unlike other disinfectants (such as chlorine compounds, quaternary ammonium compounds and chlorine dioxide) the HPV used in our treatments naturally decomposes into water (H2O) and oxygen (O2), thus ensuring no harmful chemical residue remains. It is safe for use in ALL settings, including healthcare operating theatres, critical care units, and is also CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) approved.
